Organic Shmorganic

More and more I am under the impression that the only "organic" food products that are worth eating are produce items. Other than that, the rest of the organic foods out there are worthless.

I keep trying one organic food product after another thinking I am making a better food choice and I am upping my personal social responsibility rating, and the majority of the time, I only come to realize that 1) I've wasted a few more dollars, 2) I'm still hungry, 3) everyone who raves about organic foods must have burned off all of their taste buds drinking green tea and chai because organic stuff is gross.

Most recently, I would like to add to the list of gross organic foods: Trader Joe's Organic Brown Rice Fusili Pasta.

I made a simple dish with this pasta. I cooked the pasta al dente and added some tasty marinara sauce. I sprinkled on some fresh parmesan cheese and then I dug in. It is a dish I make often because it is simple and quick. This was my first time using this pasta and definitely the last. The pasta was terrible. It was chewy and sticky and had the consistency of a gummy bear. Terrible. Just terrible. Yeah it's gluten-free, cholesterol-free and sodium-free, but if I also wanted taste-free I may as well have just had a glass of water.

I have now decided that I am done with "organic" crap 'cuz that's what it all is, crap. Crap, crap, crap.

hmmm ... i can't debate your premise, but i would like to note that corn was never meant to be a pasta. i have yet to find one that is decent - organic or note.

of course, all that is beside the point that you are hilarious (as usual) ...

My doctor (YOUR doctor!) says I should be on a diet. That I have worn down my system with poor eating habits and should go off of food for a while while by body recovers and slowly re-introduce healthy things to my system. And that I should remain gluten-free.

According to your experience, if organic food is the equivalent, I'll stick with the gummy bears. I believe they're gluten-free as well.

organic and wheat/gluten free are different things, just so happens you bought something that was all in one. Taste does not go away with organic.... make better organic choices Moh and you won't be disappointed.
