Cereal: Part II

Referring back to a past post: http://mohsocool.blogspot.com/2009/04/what-cereal.html

I received this envelope in the mail from my parents last week. (Please excuse me for being paranoid and blocking out my address, but you gotta be careful these days.)

When I opened it, all I found was a check made out to me. No note, no nothing. So, looking at the envelope again, I noticed this written at the bottom corner of the envelope:

I just laughed. They are too funny. talking to my mom later that day this is what she told me, "No more cereal, okay? Mommy, daddy think this money helps you for eating."

Truly. I feel full already.

cute - PS if you didn't block your address your blurker friends could also send you fun things in the mail :) like money or cereal!

Too funny! If we tell your parents that I eat cereal for dinner sometimes, do you think they would send me money too? Since I have kids, I have to make up excuses like it's "Breakfast for Dinner Day" or "Backwards Day"--as opposed to "Mommy is Too Tired to Cook" Day :)

Your parents are SO funny! I wish I would have gotten to know them better while we were in college. They are really sweet to be concerned about you just eating cereal! I still laugh when I think about your conversation with them.

that is so funny. I have to tell you though that it reminds me of the time when I was still living at home, and my mom asked me what sounded good for dinner. I said "cold cereal", because that sounded good to me at the moment, and she surprised me by saying "good idea, you're right", and my whole family had cereal for dinner that night. It was awesome.

So thoughtful of your parents, though!
